NAMS Jazz Festival — January 28th
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming 6th Annual NAMS Jazz Festival, Saturday, January 28th. All band parents are welcome to help with this exciting event. Mark your calendars and plan to come listen to schools from all around Oregon. Performances will start at 8:00 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. Directors and Clinicians will "Jam at Noon". Family, friends and music lovers are all invited to attend.
A variety of lunch time food concessions will be available as well as T-shirts. Plan to make a day of it, enjoy the energetic band directors and students, and support our NAMS band program.
Junior Honor Symphony auditions January 17th
Junior Honor Symphony auditions are on Jan. 17 at NAMS, and the 18, and 19 at CVHS in Corvallis, by appointment. Go to the Corvallis Youth Symphony website for more information. Generally, this group is for students looking for more challenge and the opportunity to play in a full sympnony orchestra. The music is fairly advanced. If your child is interested, have them speak with Mr. Nelson for more information.
