The teachers and students of Tangent Elementary School recently decorated the doors of the Tangent support staff as a way of thanking them for their dedication. Today was the first day the decorations were on display.
Mrs. Dougherty is the office manager, Cal Mowery is the custodian. Mrs. Beaver, Mrs. Buck, Mrs. Delaney, Mrs. Forrest, Ms. Herrera, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Shilling, Mrs. Willis, and Mrs. Worley are Education Assistants. Mary Smith is the Nutrition services person.
Next Sunday, Nov. 20, the GAPS community will recognize the contributions of long-time educator and school supporter Tom Holman at a gym-naming ceremony at West Albany High School.
Hundreds of students from Albany schools marched the downtown parade route on Veterans Day to honor veterans and active military service members. The following schools were represented by marching bands, cheer and dance teams and banner-carrying elementary students.
