Notice of Budget Committee Meeting (PDF)
The Greater Albany Public Schools Budget Committee will be meeting to discuss the Budget Message, the Proposed Budget and to receive feedback for the fiscal year July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 distancing requirements and limited space, the meeting will be conducted virtually and streamed live on the GAPS YouTube page. The community is invited to view the budget message and the proposed budget at the following links:
This information as well as previous adopted budgets, including the current 2020-21 school year budget, are available on the district Financial Information page.
After reviewing the information, the public is encouraged to submit feedback to be shared with the Budget Committee and the GAPS Board. Feedback may be submitted in the following form through Friday, May 7, to be shared with the committee and Board prior to the May 12 meeting.
Formal Public Comments may also be submitted to be read during the meeting. To meet requirements for social distancing, Greater Albany Public School District will only accept written public comment. Please send written comments to jennifer.sullivan@albany.k12.or.us.
- Comments must be received by noon on the date of the Budget Committee Meeting.
- Comments must be limited in length to be read in three minutes.
- Comments will be read by the Budget Committee Chair or Board Chair during the Comments from the Public section of the agenda.
The agenda and packet materials are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting and can be accessed at https://albany.k12.or.us/district/business/budget-committee. If needed, an additional meeting to approve the budget is tentatively scheduled Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m.

El Comité de Presupuesto de las Escuelas Públicas de Greater Albany, se reunirá para conversar sobre el Mensaje del Presupuesto, el Presupuesto propuesto y para recibir comentarios para el año fiscal del 1º de julio del 2021 al 30 de junio del 2022, el miércoles 12 de mayo del 2021 a las 7:00 p.m.
