West Albany High School: Architects updated the School Board on plans for West Albany High School during a work session on Dec. 11. Design work for the phase one reconstruction project is expected to be done in April. DLR architect Karen Montovino said the goal of the design is for spaces that would be flexible and adaptable while providing career and technical education spaces that respond to the needs of the students and build community within the student body and provide a cohesive whole of the existing building.

November End-of-Month Report on Project Progress
Oak Grove Elementary School: In a joint meeting, the School Board and Bond Oversight Committee voted to replace Oak Grove rather than renovate the building. This will increase the project costs by an estimated $167,883, but it will allow for a faster completion and result in a safer school that is more energy efficient. Construction will start in June 2018. The building will be ready for students in fall 2019.
