School Board Recognizes Academic All Star Students

Posted on: November 21, 2018

Academic All Star Awards were held on Monday, November 5 at South Albany High School.  The School Board recognized about 80 students who had achieved the highest score on assessment tests for Language Arts, Math and Science in grades 3, 5, 8 and 11.

This is the first year the Academic All Star Awards have been held as an event.  In previous year’s, the School Board would recognize these students during a series of board meetings with a few schools at each board meeting.  In the Spring of last year, the School Board along with Acting Superintendent Tonja Everest decided to host an event to honor all the Community All Star students.  The event was so successful, the School Board decided to host award nights for both Academic and Community All Star Awards.

Mesa Directiva reconoce a estudiantes académicos “All Star” (estudiantes estelares)
